CodeTally
Your code. A wider view.
A local desktop dashboard bringing source and test line history, repository metadata, pull requests and issues into one read-only view.
macOS · Apple Silicon & Intel

A portfolio needs more than a graph
I wanted one local view of the repositories I work across: source and test line history alongside repository metadata, pull requests and issues. A single activity chart hides the work between commits.
I built the view I wanted
CodeTally is a macOS desktop dashboard I built with Tauri 2, React and TypeScript, Rust, and SQLite. It imports repositories, shows portfolio totals and detail, and reports progress while history is being backfilled. Release workflows cover Apple Silicon and Intel.
Local analysis, familiar access
Git and Tokei inspect repository history on the machine. GitHub CLI handles authentication for activity feeds, so CodeTally does not keep a GitHub token itself.
A real capture, with honest limits
The dashboard image above is a published, redacted macOS capture from the CodeTally repository. Its figures are sample historical data. Initial cloning and history analysis take disk space and time, and live GitHub activity still needs a connection.
